Help Jamie Leave her Mold-Infested House

Hi! My name is Jamie, I’m a disabled trans woman living in New Brunswick. Recently, I moved into a house, which, unbeknownst to me had considerable structural and sanitary issues, including a bad Black mold problem. When I moved into the house in June, I developed a cough and what I thought was a cold. I missed significant chunks of work to rest and recover, and I sought out a doctor, who clarified that I did not have pneumonia, and prescribed me antibiotics. I finished the antibiotic regimen, which did not improve my health. In fact, I developed worse congestion, more frequent and intense headaches, and some loss of hearing in my right ear. I continue to need time off of work to care for my symptoms, although resting at home worsens my illness. Because of this, I attempt to stay in my house as little as possible, which is difficult to maintain physically and financially.

 In the future, I may decide to pursue legal action with my landlord, but for now my primary goal is to get out of this house and find safer, housing so I can let my health improve. $2000 would cover any security deposit to another place in addition to any transit or time I need to stay away from my house for my health.
