Help James Support His Parents
Around 20 weeks, Randy and Carlee Doss got the news that their baby (James David Doss) was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Their journey with James began. As selfless and whole-hearted as they are, Randy and Carlee knew the best thing for their baby boy was for Randy to voluntarily leave Bowling Green Police Department, do a quick sale on their very first home together they recently purchased and relocate to Cincinnati, Ohio from Bowling Green, KY to give James the best care they could at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Randy and Carlee have spent the last six weeks living at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital alongside James in his hospital room. James underwent several surgeries and put up a tough fight. He became our guardian angel on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018. He will always have a special place in all of our hearts.
So many have reached out to ask what they can do to help. We feel that James would want nothing more for his parents than to help get them through this heart-breaking time and back on their feet again. Randy and Carlee will need to start searching for their next home and have many medical bills ahead.
Please continue to support Randy, Carlee and our little angel James through prayer and by keeping his name and story alive.
“Nephew”
The first time we saw you,
We felt such love inside
For a pretty little baby boy
Who hardly ever cried.
A nephew is a gift from God
In a world that changes fast.
You have a specialness inside of you
That we know will always last.
Of all the many blessings,
However great or small,
To have had you for a nephew
Was the greatest one of all.
Our nephew, we shall meet again.
Rest in peace sweet baby James.
We love you to the moon and back.
Love your aunts and uncles,
Mandy Harper, Sandy Young, Brandi Doss, Bryan Peace and Alex Peace
