Help James Go Home
Donation protected
My son, James Dustin Belk, suffered a massive stroke at his home in Missouri on October 9th. At first he was somewhat responsive in the hospital but due to swelling on his brain the surgeon assigned to him decided to do an immediate craniotomy to release pressure inside his skull. He has not awakened or shown any response since that time. The hospital has given his wife Brandy two choices at this time: A lowly rated nursing home in Kansas City, Missouri or take him home and care for him there herself with several visits per week from home health care nurses. She has chosen to take classes the hospital is offering and care for him herself. Before the stroke, James (or Dustin as his family knows him) was in the process of remodeling their home in Missouri. He still needed to do a lot of work and buy a lot of materials. The family needs to possibly hire labor and definitely purchase carpet and flooring and some furnishings at this point. The house needs to be completed before he comes home sometime next week if possible. Please donate what you can so James can be brought home and made as comfortable as possible. We appreciate every dollar you can spare.
