Help Jamaya fight cancer!

Jamaya is a typical 12 year old girl. She loves learning new things, studies hard in school, loves her family with all of her heart, and has the sass that only tween girls can master! She is in the 7th grade and was learning how to play the clarinet in the school band.

When the school and her mom noticed that she was walking and speaking differently, she went to the doctor. When he dismissed her symptoms and referred her to physical therapy, her mother called another doctor. Less than a week later Jamaya was rushed to the hospital and the next day underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her brain. The doctors were able to remove part of the tumor, but soon she will begin chemo and radiation to attempt to shrink what remains. After these treatments, she will have another surgery to try to remove the rest of the tumor.

Jamaya's mother is a very strong, spiritual, protective woman. She is having to balance caring for her children at home and being at the hospital with her daughter. Jamaya's grandmother lives not too far away in Columbus and comes in to help as much as she can.

Any donations will go towards gas to get to and from the hospital, parking and meals while at the hospital, necessities for Jamaya, and her medical treatments. Please keep this sweet girl and her family in your prayers and thank you all for your support!
