Help Jalynn go on a study abroad in Ghana

Help my daughter as she embarks on an educational trip to Ghana with her University.

Many people know my daughter, Jalynn Mar’Dai, as Jalynn’s Jeans for Teens in Shreveport, Louisiana for giving back to the less fortunate. To date she has collected and donated well over 2000 pair of new and gently used jeans to support students in Caddo Parish that are experiencing homelessness.

Now, she is in need.

Jalynn is a Junior double majoring in Psychology and Visual and Performing Arts at Grambling State University. She is very active on campus participating in Favrot Student Union Board, StrutLA Modeling Troupe, Tiger Change Agents, Grambling Legacy Association, NAACP and SADD. She also currently serves as a Grambassador (student mentor) and was elected Miss Psychology and Sociology Club 2022-2023.

Most recently she has been selected as a Summer Intern in the office of the City of Shreveport Fair Share program.

From the moment her professor approached her with information about this trip and she began researching the program, she was beyond excited about the opportunity of a lifetime to learn, immerse and influence international culture. With all of her activities to better herself as a student and community leader, she would love the opportunity to embark on an educational summer abroad with the Grambling Psychology and Sociology Department. However, without financial support this trip will be impossible.

As a single parent, I know that I am not able to give her this experience on my own. This is why I am asking for help. Jalynn has given so much back to the community. Now we are asking for your help. Your donation will allow her to have an experience that will advance her philanthropic goals, educational goals and cultural impact.
