Help Jaida (Jay) attend the A Capella Academy

I’ve set this GoFundMe up for educational/extracurricular expenses on behalf of our daughter, Jaida (Jay) Phillips

Jay auditioned for A Cappella Academy for the summer of 2022. The camp will be held at a new location this year, Scripps College in Claremont, CA. It’s an international program that’s open to students ages 12-18 from all countries, and is by audition only. Admission to the program is only offered to 85 vocalist and Jay was selected! 

Jay is so excited about this opportunity. She has a job but staying current on her regular studies and the additional obligations w/theater for the upcoming musical - unfortunately, she will have very limited availability to work and earn money towards her goal. That’s why she is asking for your help now. Below are some details about the opportunity.

• Here goal is $3,000 (expenses plus a little spending money)
• Camp is June 30 – July 10, 2022 in Claremont, CA.
• Tuition is $2,250 (includes food and lodging)
• Flights are NOT included in tuition and are the responsibility of the participant. We priced a round trip flight from CMH to LAX and it’s roughy $450-$500. 

Jay loves to sing and as many of you already know, she has an amazing voice. She is so excited about being accepted and what she will gain from this program. Not only will she get to learn new skills and find ways to enhance the skills she’s already been blessed with, she’ll also get an opportunity to network and build new friendships.
