Hi Everyone!
My name is Jada Mosely and I am a photographer, videographer, and creative director from Maryland. I created this campaign with the hopes of raising money for my business where I will invest in new equipment and hiring other creatives to work with me.
UPDATE: As of 2021 I am no longer able to make money from UberEats because my car is completely dead. Currently, I am working as a full time artist, but because of bad weather and lack of personal studio space it is harder to book clients. I have also ben granted a great opportunity in LA, which due to COVID, I would have to travel there with my own money. A lot of networks are not hiring those who are out of state. I would hate to miss opportunities just because I am in a different location. I appreciate any donations that will help me get to LA.
Some background:
I have been working as a full time creative since August 16, 2019. Since the COVID19 happened, I was required to stop the production of photo/video shoots due to the stay at home order. There was a time frame of roughly 4 months where I was unable to book photo/video shoots. I applied to multiple grants and unfortunately they moved on to other candidates. Since I have been unemployed prior to the pandemic, I did not receive unemployment benefits. Unfortunately, I did not receive a stimulus check either. So what did I do in the meantime? I began to drive for UberEats in June. The income made from UberEats went directly into paying bills and contributing to my household. This left me with no room to save money, contribute to my household, and progress in my career path at the same time. I had to stop driving for UberEats and booking shoots temporarily from August 5th-August 19th because I tested positive for COVID19.
