Help Jacques study in France

Donation protected
Our amazing friend Jacques has been accepted into the prestigious EDHEC Business School in France. He has been awarded an EDHEC Excellence Scholarship for the studies. In September, he starts a masters course in Creative Business and Social Innovation.

Any of you who know Jacques will know that this course suits him perfectly.  He is a creative and intelligent friend, family member, business owner, community member and a pillar of support for NGOs in his native Tacloban and in the Philippines too.  His list of achievements is impressive and he is richly deserving of such a chance to further enhance his knowledge and skills. We are confident by supporting this campaign you will help Jacques to help the world. Corny we know, but so true!

Jacques is a man of bold ideas. Some of you may know him as the “truck bar guy” or the “guy who opened the first hostel in Tacloban” that helped countless NGO workers and travelers who were supporting the city after Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). He helped fundraise for several organisations and also served as an excellent contact for connecting people who could further help the city.  He has contributed so much to the rebuilding of post-Haiyan communities and we sincerely hope that this is the time that his good karma will catch up with him.

Jacques has successfully covered the tuition fees, paid for his flights and visa costs, and is officially enrolled. This campaign is intended to provide this extraordinary individual with some additional funds to support necessary expenses not covered by the EDHEC Excellence Scholarship that was rightfully awarded to him. These expenses include accommodation, food, transportation, and books.

We think everyone can agree that this brilliant human being deserves to enjoy and thrive on this course in France.  That is why we started this campaign.

As you may know, Jacques has been based in Tacloban the last three years and has initiated projects for the city with his own money.  His impact on people, society, and life in Tacloban and in the Philippines have been huge. While he will be missed by so many people here, we all know this is a huge opportunity for him and one that with a little bit of support he can really make the most of.

We hope that you might join us with any gift, small or large. Whatever we raise will be kept to help Jacques with the financial burden of higher training. We know that he will continue to have a lasting impact and with your help, he can do more.
