Help Jacque fight paralysis
Donation protected
The love of my life developed odd symptoms earlier this year. Jacqueline Sessoms Millar started having numbness which grew to encompass over half her body. She started losing coordination and now has difficulty walking and even opening an medicine bottle. We could not afford the payments of the "Affordable Health Care Act," and got her the only insurance we could pay for. Her neurologist first thought she had Multiple Sclerosis, but found severe spinal degeneration, bone spurs and other problems with her neck and stated that if she puts off further diagnosis and treatment she could become permanently paralyzed.
The doctor ordered a spinal tap and spinal imaging but when we went to the hospital for the procedure, we were told we would have to pay $6,871.25 that day. That money is just not there. Her doctor believes she will need neck surgery to solve the issue, which will cost much, much more. Jacque's insurance will cover some of the surgery, but the balance (which is not yet known) will likely break us. We have already sold a truck and a motorcycle to help make ends meet.
Jacque and I have been married 28 years. She raised my two sons and is a loving wife and grandmother. She loves all things living including everything from the wasps under our eves, the plants she grows, our pets, the neighbor's pets, friends and family. She has spent countless hours volunteering for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and is always quick to lend a hand when anyone has a benefit. She's always been a hard-working, loving person who never thinks of herself. Please help however you can so we can get her back on her feet.
We are private people who aren't used to asking for help. I felt this was a last resort to help my wife get the care she needs. Any donations will only be used for Jacque's medical care.
