Jackson is a good puppy. He is a working dog who found himself out of a job when the county shut down the search and rescue training. He started to find new hobbies: making friends with the cats, watching the chickens, investigating the plants, and lots of playing! He is such a good dog that he didn’t tell his human he was sick until he was really sick. Last night Jackson was intubated in the puppy ER with pneumonia.
He will recover and he will be a happy, good dog again. But Jackson’s hospital stay cost $2,500... without puppy insurance.
Now let me tell you about Jackson’s human, Lee. I created this GoFundMe (with Lee’s consent) because he’s a rad human who would do anything for his dog. I live with Lee and I truly respect this hardworking EMT.
Did you know that EMTs start at minimum wage AND were not included in the pandemic hazard pay? Yeah, me either.
I believe in community care. I believe that together we can cover this vet bill for this essential worker doing what most of us couldn’t or wouldn’t do in the pandemic.
Please help 2020 suck a little bit less for Lee and Jackson.
