Help Jack get to A Capella Academy 2022

Hi!

My name is Jack Reese. I’m an 18 year old singer from Martinsville, Indiana. In January, I finally decided to audition for the music camp that I had dreamed of trying out for since middle school. A Capella Academy is a 10-day program for growing musicians. Saying that only 13% of applicants get accepted to attend camp in Los Angeles, I am extremely excited to announce my acceptance! Getting the opportunity to sing besides less than 100 other vocalists at the Academy is something I am incredibly grateful for and proud of.

I started singing before I could even talk. Ever since then, I have been performing in community shows, school musicals, show choir, and just about every choir I was eligible for. My love for A Capella music started when my mom took me to see my first concert, the Pentatonix. After being in love with this type of music for years, you can imagine my happiness when I found out that Martinsville High School had an A Capella group.

I have spent a majority of my after-school evenings practicing for these groups because I would rather sing than do anything else. Getting the opportunity to take those after-school practices to the next level and sing with so many other passionate musicians like myself is something I cannot pass up.

Which leads to the reason I’m here…

Tuition for camp comes out to $2,250 (not including my airfare to and from LA to Indy). As my parents’ third child about to attend college, I can tell you they do not need any extra fees placed on top of them. My ultimate goal is to be able to attend camp without putting more financial strain on my single parents.
