HELP ISMAEL WALK AGAIN!
The Injury
Our dear Ismael had a terrible car accident on 17 May of this year that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. He fell off a cliff in his truck and rolled several times. He survived by a miracle. Among many other injuries, he severely injured his spinal cord. After the accident, he was taken to UC DAVIS Medical Center in Sacramento by helicopter, where he underwent emergency surgery throughout the early morning hours, where several vertebrae were fused together to reconstruct his spine. Since then, he’s been recovering in UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
After this life-changing accident, Ismael was immobilized from the waist down, was unable to feel anything in this area, and became incontinent, needing constant nursing care for these reasons. However, he is starting to have some sensation in his legs, and he can move one leg muscle very slightly. The specialists told him that the next few months will be key to his recovery. Whether he will be able to regain his sensation, functions, and mobility depends largely on his rehabilitative therapy. The therapy he undergoes during this year will be KEY in his fight against paralysis. And, as we have been told, it is a long process.
This is why we are looking for the BEST treatment for him, and for this purpose we are raising funds to finance his treatment.
He will have to leave UC DAVIS Medical Center hospital within the next week, after which he will stay in a rehabilitation center for 2 months. After this, he will need to pay for the treatment on his own. On top of this, we will have to pay for housing and his other living expenses, and, since he is currently unable to work, he has no source of income at the moment.
The money raised will be used for the treatment of his rehabilitation for a year, so that he can hopefully walk again, as well as for basic living expenses, and necessary modifications to his house to make it wheelchair-accessible.

Ismael is a 30-year-old beautiful, sensitive, and active person. He loves practicing yoga and meditation, spending time outdoors, and traveling. He has a strong connection to the earth and to nature, and he is always looking to grow was a person and to learn from life. He is a beautiful soul with a generous heart. Anyone who knows Ismael will agree that he helps people at any chance he gets, be it through his affection, through favors, and through money, since he shares every penny he can spare. But now he is the one in need.
At this difficult time, he is trying to focus on his recovery not only physically, but also mentally, in order to be able to face this situation. This is an ongoing struggle, but he is not giving up hope, since, despite the accident, life has given him another chance. But he can't do this alone.
