Help Investigator Matt Kulesza after Brutal Attack

Donation protected
On January 20th 2021, Matt Kulesza, a hardworking small business owner who works as an Illinois private detective, suffered an unimaginably brutal attack.

While on surveillance, Matthew was ambushed by two men and was forcibly held by them in his car while they savagely attacked and brutally beat him. He suffered multiple injuries and broken bones. He has already had to have one surgery and will need additional surgery and medical care due to the extent of his injuries. The violent perpetrators had used a vehicle to block his car so he could not leave the scene. They pinned him down and went from punching him to taking turns savagely hammering their fists down onto his face, brutally beating him & causing severe injuries to his face, eyes and sinus cavity; that’s about when Matt felt his nasal cavity collapse and heard his own skull crack.

Matthew is a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend AND he provides a home to 4 rescued pets. He is a strong, honest, reliable, hardworking guy who has always been the one to help others and never, EVER expected to become someone who needs help from others.  But right now he does need help.

With all of the trauma, emotional and physical pain AND the stress a violent crime like this brings, it also brings enormous financial burdens. As the SOLE earner in his household, the loss of work is immeasurably devastating and can never be recovered.  In addition to medical bills, the household and business bills continue to mount. His car was turned into a crime scene and his vehicle and equipment was damaged, including his cell phone that was taken from him and smashed by the perpetrators.  As a victim of violent crime, he will need legal assistance which is vital to ensure justice is served. His home and business now also require additional security measures due to the nature of the situation.

We are trying to raise money for Matt’s household and small business to help with any costs that he will incur to recover from the ordeal and to help wherever needed. As a community, we would be able to ease some of the stress on him caused by the outstanding costs of all the medical care and the damage to his business equipment and loss of work.

It is in these times of tragedy and strife when you see people coming together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide. We also encourage everyone to keep him and his household and his small business in their thoughts and prayers.
