“I feel safe here.” We’ve heard people say those words about INDUSTRY many times.
When Mano & Michael decided to open the doors of INDUSTRY just two short years ago, they felt a calling to create a safe space where artists from all walks of life could experience growth through community. Fueled by the need for an environment sheltered from the exploitation of artists for financial and social gain, INDUSTRY has never taken a percentage of anyone's sales. It never will. Young artists, struggling artists, aspiring artists have all been able to exhibit their work there.
Home to over seventy artists in Huntington, New York it is equal parts Art Guild, intimate music hall, gallery, antique store and event space.
But, now we need your help. Like many small ventures around the world, we're calling on people from far and wide to come to our aid. COVID-19 has forced us to close our doors, but bills, loans and rent are still knocking on them. Despite our best efforts to secure state and federal aid nothing has come down the pipeline. Without your support INDUSTRY will be forced to close permanently.
If you have the means, no matter how small, we ask you to support initiatives like ours. When we emerge from these dark, isolating times, it is community, celebration and appreciation that will help us rebuild and heal. INDUSTRY is not about now. It’s about what was and what will be again -it’s a place to come together: something we never realized meant so much until it was gone.
