Help Improve the Mineola Skate Park
The current set up of the Mineola Skate Park is not that big. Only a small portion of the whole lot is covered in concrete for skaters to use, so things get a little cramped when many people visit the park at one time. Skaters like a lot of room to roll.
The whole lot is around 17,000 square feet in area, or 190x90 feet, but less than half of that area is covered in usable concrete. We have already added new ramps, rails and repaired broken equipment within the past few weeks, but the park won't reach its full potential without more concrete. Without the additional space, skaters risk putting themselves in dangerous situations when skating around a crowded park. We will try to get an appraisal on the specific amount of concrete we need soon.
Your donation would help purchase additional concrete for the park so skaters young and old may have more room to safely make memories. We would appreciate any contribution you can make!
