Help Ike build a music studio in Greenpoint BK, NY

 

 

Hi, my name is Ike Iloegbu. Audio engineer, music producer, and new father of a beautiful son name Andrew. I have been a professional audio engineer for over ten years working with music artists from around the work. I offer mixing and mastering services as well as recording. In the near future, I would offer in person audio/music courses.

I recently purchased a studio space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The initial cost of starting a recording studio in this space was $1800, covering the cost of building a new vocal booth and installing wood flooring.

 

Unfortunately, after I moved in, I realized that there was an auto shop on the other side of the very thin walls of my music studio. The sound leaks are so bad that I cannot operate in this room until an extra wall is installed to soundproof my room. The starting cost of building my studio, putting an extra wall, and isolating my room has increased tenfold.

 

I hope to raise $10,000 by the end of the month, which will cover:

 

 

To cut down on costs, I will be installing the wall and frames myself unless we meet our goal by March 20th. I am preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. $10,000 is a lot of money, and it would not be easy to raise by any means, but I am willing to take on this obstacle for my love of music and financial stability.

ABOUT ME:

 

My full name is Ikekpeazu Iloegbu, son of Nigerian-born parents. I had a son named Andrew with my wife, Jessica, in June 2021. We currently reside in Long Island, NY. In 2016 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment Industry Studies focusing on audio technology from Delta State University in Mississippi. I have been a full-time audio engineer for the past six years as I have worked in places like Moon Recording, Bunker Studios, Premier Studios, Quad Studios, Dream Studios and many more.
