Help Iggy the Cat!

Donation protected
*Update*
Iggy had his CT scan on Tuesday! He is doing good, but the vet did find cancer in his nose canal, which means the cancer has been growing. The vet suggested he be put on a stronger chemo medication for two weeks to see how his body handles it. So far, so good!

While this isn't the news we were hoping for, Ena and Nick are so glad they know what’s going on and have a better understanding of the situation rather than just trying things and not understanding why they’re not working. We're all still hopeful that Iggy can keep fighting the cancer. He seems fine and is still very playful. He has a big appetite and seems pretty happy overall. Ena and Nick are going to take the whole thing one step at a time and make decisions as they come.

Y'all's support has been so incredibly helpful! We had no idea so many folks would donate to Iggy, and it's been super touching to see donations come in. Thanks so much for your help! We really appreciate it! <3

P.S. We're going to keep this fundraiser up in case of emergencies but will no longer be actively collecting funds. If you want to donate to support his chemo treatments, you are more than welcome!

Hi, friends!

I'm helping to raise funds for Ena and her sweet baby, Iggy, a fourteen-year-old kitty with lots of love to give!

Fourteen years ago, Ena found Iggy as a kitten--covered in spray paint and with his whiskers burned down to his cheeks, trembling under a bush. She took him in and cared for him all these years, giving him the loving home that he desperately needed. Unfortunately, Iggy was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. This diagnosis was especially difficult for Ena and Iggy, since Iggy also has FIV (which is the kitty-cat version of HIV!).

Iggy undergoes chemotherapy to treat his cancer which makes his immune system even weaker. When he gets a wound, it abscesses. When he gets sick, he REALLY gets sick. Life for the past three years has been difficult for Iggy, but he's still a feisty, playful lover boy full of life (and love).

Luckily, we recently learned that, because Iggy's lab results have been so good overall, the oncologist believes that his cancer may be in remission! If that's the case, Ena wouldn't need to make him undergo the potentially unnecessary and painful chemotherapy process anymore. She also wouldn't need to go to the vet every 6 weeks, and she wouldn't have to pay expensive vet bills all the time!

However, the only way to know for sure if his cancer is in remission is if we get a CT scan, which costs between $2,500- $3,500, which is more than Ena can afford.

So! We're organizing this fundraiser to help Ena pay for the CT scan that may change the course of sweet Iggy's life.

We know times are tough, and a lot of folks are struggling financially, but if you have any funds to spare, please consider donating to help pay for Iggy's CT scan!

We are also in the process of applying for other grants to help pay for this procedure, however, most of those grants can only offer up to $500. Any donation in any amount would be appreciated.

Thank you!
