Help Hike Baghdasarian find a home!

Help Hike to get into a home. Hike describes his situation as follows:

"Dear Sirs and Madams, Brothers and Sisters,

Writing this letter today is a man with whom begins the story of the Latter-Day Saints in Tbilisi, Georgia. My own story with that Church began in the 1990s while I lived in Yerevan, Armenia. At the time, the prophet of the Church was Ezra Taft Benson. From that time up until the present, I have been taught and I have preached that we are all one big family and in difficult times, we have a responsibility to help one another, to stand by the side of our brothers and sisters. Throughout the period of my membership in the Church, God has seen fit to send me various trials; however, I am finding that for this latest trial that has befallen me, I am unable to overcome without your assistance. Having served as a Branch President in Tbilisi, I have always served people. Now, I find myself in a situation when the help of others is needed in order to prevent me, my wife, and my 11-year-old daughter from ending up in the street. Receiving this help will yet again reinforce my testimony that the teachings about charity, serving one another, and self-sacrifice are true principles and not simply words that the missionaries use.

The situation arose because an immediate relative of mine took me to court and was thereby successful in claiming possession of my residence. This, along with having relatively low-paying employment, has left me in a situation where I do not have sufficient funds to purchase or even rent a new home.

As a result, I am addressing all those kind-hearted souls who know me or who hear of my situation. I ask you all, please show me compassion and help me to gather the necessary funds to purchase a new apartment wherein I can peacefully live with my family. Otherwise, I fear we will all end up in the street without a home. May God bless and protect you all.

Respectfully,

Hike Baghdasarian"
