Help Heidi Get Her Smile Back!

We set this site up over 4 years ago, to ask for something Heidi never would: Help.

I've known Heidi since high school. She's a force of spirit to be reckoned with. With bright eyes and a giving heart, her warmth kindles kindness around her. Her smile has been emblazoned in the minds of many. But as many of us know, that smile was changed by Bell's Palsy a few years ago, and while the world still revels in Heidi's bright eyes, kind spirit, and warm heart, Heidi deserves her smile back the way she wants it. The rest of you should get to experience it the way those who have known her forever got to. Sure.... we love Heidi just the way she is....But we wish her happiness to be restored too, and  while we know well the appearance of Bell's Palsy, what we can't see is how much it hurts physically. This is more than facial asymmetry; The synkenesis that ensues, the migraines, incessant random twitching, the affect on her eyes, her emotional wellbeing, mood, productivity, spirit and soul... well... it's a lot.

Of course it isn't "covered", right? So four years after initially being seen for consultation. here we are. Years of palliative care, mapping, consultation, hoping and dreaming have paved the way to actually getting this done! Of course the initially raised funds are used, and now she's being quoted prices that would fund a car! So friends, let's do what we do. She can do this. We can do this. She needs our help.
