Help Heather as she fights Lymphoma

I’m creating this GoFundMe for our son’s wife, Heather, who is battling lymphoma.

After going through her chemotherapy treatment, she did not get remission.

Due to the aggressiveness of her type of lymphoma (Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma), the oncologist suggested two rounds of a strong chemo to break her brain barrier, to possibly stave off the lymphoma from going there.

Sadly, after the first round, she got Bell’s Palsy. The doctor advised her to rest a little before they continued with part two of that treatment.

She then had her regularly scheduled PET scan, which revealed that her two tumors grew significantly, as well as activity in some lymph nodes.

Her oncologist referred her to Philadelphia with Penn Medicine for CAR T cell therapy.

This therapy is fascinating, and we are praying it will give her the remission she needs. Heather is young, and has three children ages 14 and under. The reason I’m doing the GoFundMe is the FDA is requiring her (after the initial 7-9 days in a hospital) to remain in the area for four weeks.

Each round trip our son makes between the children (who will still be in school) and Heather is three hours. Because of the great need to be there for his wife, our son will apply for Family And Medical Leave. The time to dedicate wholly to his family is wonderful, however, he will lose approximately 1/3 of his income.

Between the loss of salary and an increase in medical, gasoline and other expenses, I thought possibly that family and friends might consider helping.

Our most important need though is prayer for our daughter-in-law.

Please keep Heather in your prayers as she goes through this therapy, being away from her children, and as she will soon experience radiation for the first time.
