Help Grandmother Fight for Baby Katharina

I'm a grandmother with a broken heart. On February 21, 2025, I was blessed with another grandchild who was born 2.5 lbs 3 oz. My daughter was living in a domestic violence shelter at this time. Her expected due date was May 12, 2025. Baby girl Katharina lived in the hospital until April 13th. She was brought home to my daughter's apartment. On April 24th, my older granddaughter turned 17 and a birthday party was planned. The newborn's daddy was to pick her up and drop her off the next day. Well, he decided to keep her and hide her. Police were involved and nothing was done for her return. I hired a lawyer and she was finally returned to mommy on May 13th. Unfortunately, she was no longer able to breastfeed and all Dr's appointments were canceled by the infant's father and family.

I am not a rich grandmother and the lawyer has already drained my bank account, leaving me with a negative balance (not saying that I won't pay the lawyer; he is very good). I am asking for financial help from you and anyone you can pass on. I have a full-time job and will take a part-time job at 62. I am so happy for the baby but extremely stressed out about the financial situation. My daughter is on disability and living in low-income apartments. I don't own a house to borrow against. If I didn't hire a lawyer and waited for a public defender, she would not be holding her today. We are not done in court and I am truly afraid financially.
