Hi, I’m Linda Monique — I’m 55 years old, a mom, a grandma, a writer, a cannabis advocate, and a survivor of more storms than I can count. If you know me from Instagram (@onedimplelindamonique420), you know I don’t give up. I’ve rebuilt my life after addiction, I beat cancer, and I live with rheumatoid arthritis — but I’ve never stopped pushing forward.

I’m totally disabled for over a decade on Social Security Disability after working full-time for over 30 years — but rent today is impossible to manage without a second income. I’m actively applying for part-time jobs every single day — but without a car, I’m stuck. Stuck in this apartment, stuck without options, stuck watching my mental health unravel.

This is why I’m asking for help, which is absolutely the hardest thing for me to try to do. I’m hoping community shines through the dark.

I need a reliable used car — something safe enough to drive with my grandson, and dependable enough to get to job interviews, doctor appointments, and eventually, my own place. I want to buy it outright, no monthly payment that risks blowing up my tight budget.

I hate asking for help. I’ve always tried to handle things myself. I will continue to pay it forward, as I always have, and this I can promise you.

Every single dollar brings me closer to peace, independence, and the ability to keep fighting with my dignity intact.
