We NEED YOUR HELP restoring Gloria's Pupuseria!
John and Gloria Gerber have been serving authentic traditional Salvadoran style food in Staunton Virginia and surrounding area since 2013. They serve their trademark Pupusas, Tamales, and other Salvadoran dishes, making everything in house, made to order, and sourcing their ingredients as locally as possible. The food and service is always top notch!
Gloria learned to cook as a child in her mother's pupuseria in El Salvador. The Gerbers brought their delicious Pupusas to the Staunton Farmer's Market, and then they expanded into a food truck. Then, serving a lot of great food and working really hard, they grew their business into a cozy retail space on Central Avenue where we knew we could always get great food, and fantastic service.
Unfortunately, the flood devastated their business.
Let's support them to rebuild. Insurance may not help them, but we sure can! They are cleaning up from the disaster, and taking stock of what can be salvaged. They may not own much at the moment, but they still have a reputation for fantastic food and service, and they have us. Together, we can move a mountain!
After gofundme costs, 100% of this money will go to John and Gloria to rebuild in the way that works best for them. Thank you so much for your generous donations.
