Help Glenn cover medical bills.

Donation protected
With a heavy heart we write this message. On January 2nd, Glenn passed away. Any money donated will be used for remaining medical expenses and funeral costs. Thank you to those that donated. The love and support truly shows how much of an impact Glenn had. -With Love, Ryan and Nikki
Our names are Ryan and Nikki and Glenn Walinski is our father. On Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023, our dad suffered a major stroke which immobilized his left side and partially immobilized the right side of his body. He will face a long difficult road ahead. This fundraiser will help cover some of the medical expenses, adaptive equipment needs and full-time care. It will also help cover some of the unanticipated bills and other costs associated with his condition. He is currently in in-patient rehab at Gunderson Health Systems in La Crosse, WI.

For anyone who has ever known Glenn, you know that he has taken a passionate approach to helping people, charitable causes, community needs and organizations that help others.

This mindset has led him to a lifelong love for Scouts and the Order of the Arrow where he has held multiple leadership positions and mentored 1,000’s of our nation’s youth.

This passion and drive was evident during the two main stages of his career at both the La Crosse Center in Wisconsin and the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, IA. He left an indelible mark at both buildings where he made more contributions and forged more positive relationships with staff and clients than we could mention. He always made friends, not enemies.

The other thing that we feel must be said is that our dad has never asked anyone for anything for himself, nor would he. He has always been a person that has given to others without asking or expecting anything in return. Nothing else has given him the joy and satisfaction he has received from being there for other people in need! This is truly who he is! He is now the one in need in this ironic turn of events.

His family, friends and the connections he has nurtured with others are what he values most as a man, along with travel and the opportunity to meet people and be part of something greater than himself. His only reward at the successful end of any positive, hard-fought
accomplishment would be the self-imposed “brandy and water”.

If you can’t donate monetarily, that’s fine. A letter, phone call, or visit if you are in the area will help him as he tries to regain strength.

Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.

Love,
Ryan and Nikki
