Help Glacier Fight Liver Disease

Hi, my name is Devany and I rescued my beautiful baby boy, Glacier, last year. Shortly after adopting him, we discovered he had a chronic skin infection and have spent the last twelve months shuffling through multiple vets, specialists, hospitals, shoveling out every last penny to our name (which has led us to such a disastrous financial situation in our own personal lives). We were told that the only antibiotic that could kill the infection (which has progressed dramatically in the last few months) could potentially cause liver toxicity. We decided to try everything in our power to avoid administering this medication. We spent 8 months doing medical baths with him every single day, applying mousses, foams, changing his diet, etc. It went away for a month and came back even worse than before so the doctor decided it was time. He has been on this treatment for two weeks and our fears have become a reality.

We stopped the medication last week but his liver toxicity has only worsened. Last night, 11/22, he was hospitalized with acute liver failure. He will most likely need to be transferred to a specialist hospital to give him his best chance at stabilizing and surviving this. I’ve maxed out all my credit cards already—this current hospital bill was $6000 and I don’t have a penny more to my name to transfer him to a secondary hospital. I’ve been out of work with my own back/neck injury for almost two months, my wife has taken a major pay cut because she’s had to stay home to take care of me. This is happening at the worst possible time for us financially. If you can donate even a few dollars, every single cent counts. Our boy is fighting for his life. He is only five years old.
