Help Give Olivia Her Voice

My granddaughter, Olivia Congdon, was born with multiple issues with her airways that have led to several respiratory/cardiac arrests and a subsequent tracheotomy. She has lived with her trach for over 2 years and is at risk every day due to blockages and infections.  For all that she has endured in her short life, Olivia is a very happy, funny, smart, beautiful, and feisty little  girl who has been an inspiration to all who know her. There were times we thought we would lose her, but she fought her way back and continues to amaze even her doctors! She is our hero!
The next phase of Olivia's treatment is an airway reconstructive surgery. This is a very complicated surgery and can only be done at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Airway Reconstruction Unit. It is scheduled for October 10...just a few short weeks away! It will, however, involve a long term stay for Olivia and her parents, as well as multiple trips and other surgical procedures to follow. Olivia requires 2 caregivers at all times. Her parents, Carrie and Keith are loving and devoted and have done an amazing job with Olivia's round the clock care. However, it has impacted them in that they have not been able to work. That is why we ask for your help.
To all of our family and friends that have followed Olivia's journey, we thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. For those of you who would like to be a part of Olivia's long road to living trach-free, finding her voice and a better quality of life, any donation will help. Our hope is that some day Olivia will be able to say thank you with her very own voice!
