Help Get Rick Collins Home
Donation protected
Since Rick was diagnosed with glioblastoma in April 2017, the Collins family has come together with love and dedication to see him through. Rick has beat the odds. His tumor has not grown in over a year. Though his recent stroke has created new challenges, he’s making good progress with physical therapy.
Now it’s time to get Rick out of the care center and back home where he’ll recover faster surrounded by his family. To make this happen, we’re asking for your support. We need to outfit the house with the equipment necessary to keep him healthy and safe: a wheel chair lift, ramps, safety rails, and a stair climber chair. The cost to retrofit the house will be around $10,000, and insurance will cover very little of that cost.
Before the stoke, the burden of the disease was mostly emotional on the family. Now, it has become financial. Please donate if you can, or share with others who want to support a good man and loving family. All the proceeds will go to my mother, Angela Collins, to help pay for the home renovations.
