Help get Peckham Town FC back on track

The pandemic has adversely affected many community groups and sports clubs.  It has been no different at Peckham Town FC.  The curtailment of the season meant we lost nine home league games for our men's first team and five our women's team games.  We estimate this cost us around £2000 in lost revenue from the nominal gate receipts, merchandise and food & bar sales.  This has left a big hole in our budget for the coming season.

We have also suffered from repeated acts of vandalism during the Lockdown.  This has included: - bricks being thrown at the clubhouse and windows smashed:
- repeated attempts to break into the clubhouse;
- cars driving on our training pitch;
- goal posts being smashed up;
- rubble being dumped;
- advertising boards ripped down, broken and used as skateboard ramps; and
- people using the main pitch as a picnic site with associated littering.

We were so frustrated by this that we turned to Twitter  to ask the community for support in preventing further damage.  This news was also picked up by the Southwark News .  This has shocked many of our supporters, the wider football family and the local community.  Several have asked how they can help, and whether they can donate to put us on a better foot for the new season.  We have therefore setup this page to enable people to donate.

All funds will be used to support the continued operation of the club, and our ability to deliver football for our youth teams, women's team and two men's teams.  This could include purchasing kits, balls, bibs, cones or paying for officials to referee games.  We are a 100% voluntary club, so no funds would be used for wages, as we don't have any!  We really appreciate any funds you can provide to support the club.   Don't forget you can support in other ways too, such as buying merchandise or a season ticket for our senior games.   This biggest gift of course would be if you could volunteer your time in the development of the club, and you can read more how you can do this this here .
