Help get our top Irish paratriathlete to Tokyo

Donnacha Mc Carthy lost his sight at the age of 10 after battling Leukemia for the second time. Imagine yourself as an 10 year old one day going to school, playing your favourite sports, playing with your friends and helping out on the family farm. Now imagine finding yourself completely in the dark. Unbearable isn’t it? You would assume that your opportunities would be almost completely limited. Not if you are Donnacha Mc Carthy. At 30 Donnacha is a college graduate, an Analyst for Vodafone Ireland, a former team captain for the Irish blind football team and now he needs your help to get to Tokyo to represent Ireland in Paratriathlon. Donnacha along with his guide, Bryan Mc Crystal have demonstrated over the past year that they have what it takes to qualify. They are currently using a tandem bike that has been loaned to them and is not fit for purpose. They desperately need a custom made bike that costs upwards of €18000. Please Help give them the same chance as all of the rest of the athletes by helping them purchase a new tandem bike.
