Help Get Liam to the Austin Film Festival!

Well hey friends.

Okay, here's the thing. Setting this thing up at all is actually pretty difficult for me. I historically have had a pretty miserable time asking for help, and especially now, I know people are stretched thin and there are plenty of worthy causes to give your time, attention, and money towards, but *sigh* I do need your help.

I found out last week that a short film I helped to write got into the Austin Film Festival (yay!). But going is a very expensive prospect and as it stands currently, I can't afford to go (boo!).

I would really like to have the chance to seize the opportunity and invest in myself by going, networking with other film folks, and potentially building relationships that could help me realize my dream of becoming an employed and employable writer.

I've essentially lived at the poverty wage my entire adult life, living paycheck-to-paycheck and have often had to refuse other similar professional opportunities simply because I couldn't afford to go. Going would mean needing pay for the flight, accommodations, festival badges, and would help to make up for the wage lost while away so that I could still afford rent when I came returned.

With your help, I can go to Austin and help to move closer towards my dream.
