Today I met a single mom named Kenya at Walmart.

I asked her if she could help me buy diapers. Without hesitation, she offered to pay for them.

To reward her kindness, I gave her $500.

She broke down in tears as she shared her story.

Kenya is a single mom battling more than most people could imagine. She’s currently experiencing homelessness, has no car, and struggles to keep a job because she has no reliable way to get to work. Every day is a fight just to provide the basics for her family. Every day she can, she does ministry, sharing the gospel with people on the streets and caring for their needs.

And yet, even in the middle of all that hardship, she was still willing to help a complete stranger.

A mom like Kenya shouldn’t have to carry this burden alone. Let’s come together to help her find stable housing, reliable transportation, and give her the fresh start she deserves.
