Help get Eulalee Pennant laid to rest in Jamaica

If you're reading this, chances are you have met, heard, seen or been aware of the bright light that was Eulalee Pennant aka Lady P Lioness.

Sadly Eulaee passed away on 30th June 2023.

I would not normally use the words battle and fight when talking about Cancer, but those were Eulalee's words. She fought for her life against an aggressive form of cancer, right to the end she was planning her return to Jamaica where she wanted to keep working on her music and supporting her artists.

Eulalee survived for many months past what was anticipated, she never gave up, she dealt with cancer the way she dealt with life - with the roar of a lioness.

Her life was made so hard for years in her battle with the Home Office, a Windrush Descendant she never stopped speaking out and fighting for justice not just for herself but for everyone facing oppression and injustice. As a member of Movement for Justice she led marches, spoke in parliament but most importantly she gave hope, fight and fire to others facing the racist brutality of the hostile environment.

Soon after the publication of this article the home office backed down and gave her leave to remain - she should never have been put in the position to need to go public like that about an intensely difficult time. The Home Office have the blood of so many on their hands.

She used her experience with the Home Office to write and produce this song and video "Wicked Ungrateful People"

There was an outpouring of support for Eulalee when her plight was publicised and we raised an incredible £23,000 which meant she could live the remaining 11 months of her life the way she wanted to live it.

Now I am asking for your support again. Eulalee is survived by three daughters in Jamaica, the USA and the UK. Her daughters in UK and USA work in the care sector and do not have the money needed to get Eulalee back to Jamaica so she can be laid to rest. Her daughter in Jamaica is very ill with a brain tumour and unable to work. Eulalee only ever had that money raised and it was all spent.

The quote from a funeral director who specialises in repatriation to Jamaica of those who have passed is in total £6,700 for the repatriation and funeral in Jamaica.

I am hoping we can raise at least £3000 to help get Eulalee back home.

Please donate what you can, all the money will go direct to Eulalee's daughter so that she can make the arrangements needed.

Here's another of Lady P Lioness' music videos, a collaboration - this is how she would want to be remembered...
