Lyme Disease Treatment for Bethany Walker!
Bethany was diagnosed October 2018 with Chronic Lyme Disease. Bethany suffers daily and is often bedridden, or exists in extreme pain behind a smile. After a year of seeing a local physician she didn’t seem to make much progress getting to remission. Bethany now has to travel to Washington DC and endure the out of pocket expenses that a trip of this nature would entail, including the cost of the appointment which is around $500. With the current state of Bethany’s health, driving 5 hours to DC to be seen would be very taxing on her. She is in need of a month flights to Washington DC. Each trip requires her husband to miss work, a hotel, food and travel expenses on top of the actual appointment.
After Bethany returned from her trip to see her Doctors in Washington, she received news that she is even more sick than any of us anticipated. She requires a port in her chest for IV treatment that is required twice a day for about an hour and a half each session. These treatments alone total $65,000 and does not include her normal daily medications which are around 60 pills per day.
