Help German Trad Jazz Musicians affected by flood

When Hurricane Katrina flooded 80,000 homes in New Orleans, German musicians, led by Traditional Jazz Trumpeter, Klaus Lumma, raised $50,000 to help New Orleans musicians affected by the storm. This month, these same German musicians were flooded by overflowing rivers and torrential rains in Eschweiler, Germany. The Talbahnhof, Eschweiler's premier Jazz Club, was severely damaged. Several musicians there lost everything, including their instruments and homes. Please make a donation to help these musicians.

Musicians for Music is a non-profit organization of New Orleans Musicians and Composers, dedicated to presenting original works in the Jazz Idiom. We met German Trumpeter, Klaus Lumma, when we were making a documentary about musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. Klaus loves New Orleans jazz . It broke his heart in 2005, when he was helping local New Orleans musicians to wreck their houses (remove flood debris and walls in preparation for repairs). He became our friend and musical collaborator and has visited New Orleans many times, to perform at our French Quarter Festival.
