Save The Orangutans, George To Borneo July 2025

Hi everyone, my name is George Higgins, and I am 14 years old. In July 2025 I am hoping to go on a once in a lifetime, life changing 4-week expedition to Borneo with Camps International.

On the trip I will have the amazing opportunity to travel across Borneo whilst volunteering in community work, building schools, helping to improve living conditions for local communities (by improving their access to clean water), environmental conservation, working with endangered orangutans, planting trees to help combat deforestation and beach cleaning. This humbling experience will help me to improve my confidence, allowing me to push my boundaries as well as making a huge difference to people less fortunate than me in local communities in Borneo.

Every contribution will make a difference for me, and I would be so grateful. I will be working hard to earn some extra money by doing odd jobs like mowing lawns, washing cars, walking dogs and babysitting. Also making wooden crafts to sell at school fetes. I will be covering the costs of all the equipment and vaccinations using my lifesavings of £750.
