Help Garrett Kiefer fight Brain Cancer

Donation protected

On March 23rd, Garrett Kiefer, was admitted to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital with a baseball size tumor in the occipital lobe of his brain. On March 24th he had a stint placed in his brain to reduce the intracranial pressure that the tumor was causing. On March 25th he underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor. The surgeons were able to remove most of the tumor and it was sent off to determine what type of cancer Garrett has.

The oncology team met with Bobbie yesterday to discuss a treatment plan which will include taking him to Chicago or Cincinnati for 5-6 weeks of Proton Radiation. The oncology team has narrowed it down to two types of cancer but they are waiting for the pathology report to confirm the exact type of cancer he has. Garrett will have a shunt placed tomorrow, April 1st, to help relieve the pressure in his brain.

As most of you know Garrett’s mother is self-employed and unable to work at this time. Bobbie and her five children have endured so much hardship these last few years, from Bobbie’s battle with thyroid and breast cancer to the devastating loss of their father, Chad, six years ago in a snowmobile accident.

Bobbie’s two oldest children, Peyton and Katlin are currently on emergency leave from the Army to be by Garrett’s side.

The Kiefer, Beckett and Rowland family is ready to fight this dreaded disease and support Garrett in every way possible.
This family would never ask for help, which is why I’m reaching out on their behalf. Prayers for Garrett’s healing and any monetary donation you wish to give would be greatly appreciated.

All funds will go directly to Garrett’s family to help with medical expenses and any future need he and his family may encounter while he is undergoing treatment.

We know there is a road ahead, but we could not be more blessed with all of the support and faith from each of you.
