Dear friends and family,
One of the reasons I chose Miami University was because of their study abroad programs, and I am very excited to share I was recently accepted to one in Africa! More specifically, the Republic of The Gambia, where I will visit a variety of places including historical/cultural sites, hospitals, clinics, and schools. Myself and 10 other students will learn about how health care and culture intersect to influence the Gambian people. I will be leaving in the middle of May, after spring semester 2021, and will be abroad for approximately two weeks. While this is an invaluable experience, they have managed to put an estimated price on it and unfortunately it's not cheap. Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated and go a long way in helping me achieve this goal, and take part in this incredible opportunity that has been offered to me.
