Help fund Theater at ESA

Hi, my name is Jackson Shafer; I have been directing plays at ESA for 12 years.

I love watching kids discover the wonder of high school theater. The joy they feel when they are up there on stage working together to create something that matters, is the most rewarding thing I have been a part of as an educator. When I wonder if all the long hours, rehearsals, mid-show casting changes, set-building, costume and prop finding will be worth it, I listen to the roar of the students after the show as they jump up and down backstage, thrilled that they created magic out of thin air, I realize the true value of our high school theater program. After a global pandemic and interrupted schooling, students need this outlet more than ever to be a part of a team and engage in skills that will last them a lifetime. Unfortunately, I know that the funding for this program has been severely impeded by budget cuts. To provide these students with the extracurricular outlet of a lifetime, we need adequate funding for the program. Please help us!
