Help Fund the Bike Hut's Essential Facility

Most of you are familiar with the Bike Hut on Tunitas Creek Road near Half Moon Bay. It serves as a unique and welcome rest stop far from any commercial area. The farm there, Potrero Nuevo, offers all sorts of snacks and drinks to prep you for that big ride up Tunitas...or to reward you after that big ride down. And thankfully, there’s a porta-potty there, too.

But did you know that the porta-potty at the Bike Hut is not provided by the farm? Instead, it’s self-funded by cyclists like yourself.

Western Wheelers is now spearheading the fundraiser for this and managing the relationship with the porta-potty vendor. But a big round of kudos goes out to the Santa Cruz County Cycling Club who has long served that role.

We need your help to keep this wonderful facility in place! This will likely be an every-other-year fund drive to keep the Bike Hut Porta-Potty operational (i.e., clean, stocked, and present). Our goal is to raise $4,000 to cover two years of expenses.
