I’m just gonna say it, I’m in love. This book has everything; world building, romance, war (obviously), angst, forced proximity, aliens, supernatural powers, fae, SPICE, and so much more!

As someone who reads a lot of fantasy romance, I was really excited to read this one! I haven’t really delved into much sci-fi, but this sounded too intriguing to pass up, and I am so glad I didn’t! The world building in this book is fantastic, but its not all thrown at you at once like you’re reading an informational packet at a doctor’s office that’s explaining shit that you should look out for as you go forward with the appointment you’ve scheduled with your kindle for 9pm that night. The world building is spread out as things arise throughout the book, and its described in a way that I felt I could picture in my head.

I loved the characters and the various unique personalities, and how they each brought something different to the story and plot. Some of the characters (not naming names) bring humor into what could otherwise be a very unfunny situation, but it's done tastefully (for the most part lol).

The spice is ungodly and there may or may not be alien body parts involved, so if that’s not you’re thing, well, that sounds like a you problem because GOD DAMN GOD DAMN IT’S HOT AF. The tension and angst adds so much to the story and leaves you begging for more. My notes throughout my kindle quotes consist of me screaming at the characters, myself, and the freaking universe for so many things, but in my opinion, that’s a good thing. If I’m taking the time to make notes where I’m literally having a conversation with the characters, it means that the author created characters that I was able to easily connect with. And when I’m reading, I want to feel something for them, feel it with them, feel as if they’re my friends, and that I’m right there, making this journey with them. Tristan Clark has done a wonderful job of making these characters, and this whole story come to life, and I can’t wait to read the next book in what I predict will become a very popular series!

Hey! I'm Tristin Clark. I'm a Pisces born March 9th. An INFJ (Super introverted) I absolutely love nature, traveling, hanging out with cute animals, and getting lost in an epic day dream.

I wish I could say that my backstory has been one inspiring adventure that led me to becoming the author I am today but the truth is... I don't write dark, traumatic books for no reason. Long story short, life was hard as it is for many of you and the only outlet I had, was to escape into each fictional world I created in order to find my happy place.

I began writing early on in my life. I had a diary when I was a kid and I just made up little stories of what I wished my life could be like. I fantasized a lot. I was always dreaming of a life that was full of excitement, adventure and love. I've always been such a romantic. I'm also a strong believer of soulmates. Now mix in the re-occurring, biblical, apocalyptic nightmares I had all my life, somehow I ended up writing these dark, traumatic, end of the world stories with soulmates willing to burn the world just to be with the love of their life.

I suck at writing my bio but you get it. I'm a dark, romantic writer whose characters are realistically and epically flawed, morally grey and just right out evil but the one thing they all have in common is that they would absolutely do anything, right or wrong to be with their soulmate and THAT is true love. At least from my personal opinion.

Now the reason we are here... Unfortunately, publishing is hella expensive. Especially for Indie authors wanting to do it right and professionally. As I am just starting out in my career, I am literally starting out with nothing. It's weird asking people for help but the sad truth is, I need it if I ever want to get ahead and continue to publish. At least until I can afford to do it on my own.

Here is an example of some of the things that I need help with:

-Hiring a professional editor, book cover designer, interior formatter, promotional agency to advertise my books, software programs that aid in my writing, ISBN's, purchasing books up front, mailing books out, character artwork, book map, merchandise.

-To help me market my books, I do plan to give out at least 10-25 PR book boxes to social influencers as well as some book swag to my Street Team members so that they can help me re-hype up AWATS for the B&N release. I'd also love to just have extra merch and signed books on stock to giveaway and sell from my website.

-Im also attending two book conventions this year as a signing author, one in DC and one in Kansas City. Not including flight and hotel costs, I’ll also need to come up with marketing materials such as: an author standing banner, table banner, books to sign and little things like books marks and swag to give away.

So yeah. Being an indie author is expensive and until I make it, I could definitely use all the help I can get to make it there.
