Help fund osimertinib for Mikes cancer

Donation protected
Hi guys, last week mike had his first seizure and is in the hospital. He has had many scans and we have been in some really distressing times to find the news that Mike has extensive Lepto meningeal disease which is an extremely rare form of cancer and is spreading rapidly ( causing the seizure ). The doctors originally wanted to get Mike back on chemotherapy but he is too weak making the only form of treatment left being Osimertinib otherwise known as Tagrisso which is a really effective treatment for LMD. The oncologists have applied for this on compassionate grounds however we have not heard back yet and time is of the essence. we want to buy him some directly from the hospital. This is an extremely expensive drug (30,000 pounds per year) and your financial support would be very helpful in this distressing time. We are aiming for £10000 for the next four months and will then review again.

We know people are struggling financially at this moment and wonder if we could suggest the following -
Pay ahead for jane's classes once they re-open, or for one of jane's on line courses.
Hayden is offering cat sitting and Connor is offering his  decorating skills or approach us with suggestions.

Hayden, Jane and Connor

In June 2018 I was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. I am part of a growing trend of people who have never smoked contracting this disease. Since July 18 I have been under the care of Barts Hospital.

I want to state for the record how grateful I am for the care I am receiving from both the oncologists and the MacMillan nurses at Barts. It is really important for me to stay ahead of the game while I am stable.

With this in mind I  undertook research and  have been greatly inspired by the work of Jane Mclelland (of How to Starve Cancer) who has been in remission from, amongst others, stage IV lung cancer for over 10 years. Jane is a pathfinder and I am grateful for her work.

Jane inspired me  to work with the protocols of both Care Oncology Clinic and Dr Callebout as an adjunct to my treatment.

Both clinics are aiming to stop my body becoming resistant to my current treatment for as long as possible and block the pathways the cancer uses to metastasise.

I will require a large amount of re purposed drugs and a significant amount of supplements in order to achieve this. These additional drugs and supplements are not available on the NHS and need to be purchased separately.

If you are interested in reading / hearing about my additional protocols please see the links below .

I have managed to stay healthy throughout this journey. My son Hayden and I will run a 5k/10k on 12 June which happens to be the anniversary of my diagnosis. Hayden wants to support me on my journey and I want to support Hayden reach his goal of exercise in his Bronze Award for his Duke of Edinburgh.

As one might appreciate both my Jane and I are acquiring knowledge about this way of working with cancer and as an offering for supporting me we will be available to share info about tackling the metabolic pathways of cancer stem cells if you or your relatives are ever in need.
