Help Fund My Thesis Short Film

Hello!  My name is Devonte Anderson  and I attend The New York Film Academy. I am an Actor, Writer, and now I will be adding Producer to the list! I am a MFA Candidate and will be graduating in January 2021.  In order to graduate, it is a requirement that I produce a short film.

I must crew up the production,cast and fund it. I am very excited to take on this challenge, however I need help financially with this task. This will be my first producer credit of my career. I plan to one day produce amazing films that  give art and creativity the means to flourish, as well as giving the space for creative black voices to be heard. I am kindly asking for donations to help make this possible.

I want to raise awareness on the importance of representation and inclusion in film and television but I also want the actors and crew  to feel even more empowered  to create by being payed for their collaboration.

Covid-19 has taken a toll on the film industry and we are just now starting to resume productions.  New rules and procedures have been put in place to ensure safe sets and I will make sure that my set follows those procedures.

Your donations will help in paying the actors and crew, location fees and permits, meals for actors and crew as well insurance fees.  I put my heart and passion into everything that I do. So you can feel secure that any donation, whatever amount will be greatly appreciated and solely used for the production. I want to say thank you so much for believing in me and my dreams.
