Help Fund Eric's road to recovery

I am raising money for my cousin Eric McNerney (Little Eric) to purchase a car.    Eric is 48 years old and is in renal failure.   He does dialysis 3 times a week while he works to be put on the Kidney transplant list.   Eric also has diabetes which adds challenges to being healthy for the transplant list.   Last Christmas, Eric was moved into a nursing home to allow him to focus on his health.    Eric has worked very hard to get to a point where he can go back to independent living.    This month Eric found out he will be moving to a senior apartment in Excelsior Springs.    The whole person has assisted with furnishings.   As excited as I am to see him move out of the nursing home, it comes with difficulties.   Excelsior Springs is 20-30 minutes from his doctors, his church and his family.    Due to his health issues, Eric will make numerous trips a week for doctor and dialysis appointments.   In addition, Eric has reconnected with his faith and spiritual growth.   He has been attending and volunteering at church regularly.    Eric is also looking for a job, but will be limited to what he can do until after he gets a new kidney.    As things are looking up for Eric, there is still a challenge of transportation.    Eric does not have a working car.   A car would allow Eric to make his doctor's appointments and help him find a job, as well as stay involved with family and church.   While our family will more than happily provide rides and assistance anytime we can, without a car Eric will remain dependent and home bound.    We are hoping to raise $6,000 to assist Eric with getting a reliable car.   If there is any way you can assist, we would greatly appreciate it.   Thank you in advance for your generosity.
