Help FTC 8417 The Lectric Legends Go To Worlds!

Our FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team, 8417 Letric Legends, needs your help to get to Worlds! We were awarded one of the two coveted spots from the FTC KY State Championship and will advance to the World Championship in Houston, TX in April. FIRST® Tech Challenge is a global, non-profit robotics program for students in grades 7-12. Teams design, build, and program their robot to compete in an alliance format with and again other teams.

Our robotics team consists of homeschooled students, both middle and high schoolers, from 4 different counties in the Central KY area. This is the rookie year for 7 out of 10 of our team members. At the KY State Championship, we placed 1st place in the Design Award, 1st runner-up Finalist Alliance in the overall robot game, 1st in the Promote Award, and 1st runner-up for the prestigious Inspire Award, an award given to the the team that best embodies the 'challenge' of the First Tech Challenge program both in robot design, programming, STEM outreach in our community, and gracious professionalism.

At Worlds, we will be competing with nearly 200 teams from the U.S. and around the world for 5 days. Your financial support will help make this dream a reality by purchasing 2 additional team uniform shirts, team lunches and dinners, as well as defray travel and hotel costs in Houston for the week.
