Help Frank with rehabilitation

Donation protected
As many of you are aware, my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016. After several aggressive treatments, the lesions and spots remain but at this time it is not spreading or growing (thank god). Back in November he started having trouble walking but assumed it was because he has back issues. It got so bad that he was scooting around on his behind to get around the house. In July, he woke up with uncontrollable tremors and no feeling in either legs. He was rushed to the hospital and after weeks of testing he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome which is a condition in which your immune system attacks your nerves, leading to muscle weakness and even paralysis. This affects 1 in 100,000 people- it's rare. He has been in the hospital receiving IV treatments and steroids that will hopefully help but it could take months to see if it gives him feeling back. He will be leaving for Rehabilitation tomorrow. Insurance will cover the first 5 days. Then, they will charge $20 a day for the next 20 days and $140 each additional day. The goal of rehab is for Frank to gain the strength to use his legs again. We would like to see him in for at least a month after the initial 5 days, which would cost us about $1500. Frank is a dedicated veteran, but unfortunately the VA and medical assistance provided for veterans is not ideal. Any amount will help. We really appreciate it!
