What started as a mild chest pain last year was diagnosed as ANAPLASTIC CARCINOMA (LUNG CANCER) and now threatens the life of our good friend Mr. Francis Tsav, a 38 year old First Class graduate of Mathematics, who was undergoing a PhD but had to drop out to fight for his life.
Unable to afford chemotherapy and other recommended treatment, Francis resorted to herbal care at home. Sadly, this has not helped, as Francis' condition has grown worse. We want to help Francis access proper care and treatment in Nigeria and abroad, as soon as possible.
We have contacted a cancer hospital in Nigeria for another round of medical investigations to determine the current extent of the cancer, and to inform better targeted treatment. Also, another better equipped hospital in India is on standby to receive the results and proceed with the best treatment option. The cost estimate for weeklong admission and investigation in the Nigerian hospital is N4,727,230 or £8,308; while the Indian hospital requires $5,050 or £3,650 to be paid ahead of treatment costs which will depend on results of the up-to-date investigations.
Francis will require additional funds to support his dietary requirements, travel arrangements, accommodation and maintenance, for himself and his sister Rosemary (a graduate who has left her work and everything else to cater to Francis since his diagnosis last year). From our calculations, Francis may require up to £30,000 to go through this.
Your donations will go a long way in helping Francis to manage the constant pain he currently experiences, to access the best treatment options available, and to fight for his life. The oncologists have said Francis will require aggressive treatment measures as his situation is already critical.
