HELP HEIDI AND OTTO FIGHT FIP!
Heidi and Otto are two the most wonderful kitties you can imagine.
Our whole world turned upside down when we found out Heidi had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) – deadly viral disease and the only possible thing was to help her ease her pain by euthanizing her. I desperately searched for any possible cure and find out it really existed, but it is still unknown by most of the vets since it’s been out there for a quite short time – the magical GS. The treatment is very expensive and lasts 84 days. Every day one injection. Her daily dose costs around 40-45 dollars.
I ordered it immediately and Heidi got her first dose 6 days after she was diagnosed. She already had neuro-ocular symptoms, she wasn’t eating at all, her abdomen was full of fluid and she was at her death door. After only two doses she started to eat and after 2-3 weeks all her symptoms were gone. She was normal, naughty and playful again. At the beginning of the treatment Heidi had only 2,7 kg and now she weighs 4,2 kg. Because of her ocular symptoms she was on the higher dose. She supposed to finish the treatment a week ago, but her bloodwork suddenly got worse and we must continue with injections. I really can’t say till when.
The things got hard to handle when I found out my other cat, Otto also had FIP. It was exactly when Heidi was in the middle of the treatment. We were again at the beginning. Otto didn’t have such bad symptoms as Heidi, he had wet FIP, but he is big cat, so his dose is also high.
I spend 80-90 dollars EVERY DAY (without vet costs) just for the medicine. Otto should finish his treatment on January 9th. Last 3 months completely exhausted my family, emotionally and financially, but we can’t stop now and leave them to die after such a long and brave fight.
Please, help us continue fighting. Those two darlings deserve to live.
