Help for Tommy and Zellweger syndrome

As most of you will know Tommy was born prematurely and subsequently diagnosed with Zellweger syndrome. The prognosis for infants with Zellweger syndrome is poor. Most infants do not survive past the first 6 months, and usually succumb to respiratory distress, gastrointestinal bleeding, or liver failure. Tommy has just turned 6 months old which is amazing and a huge cause for celebration. He is the sweetest, most adorable little thing, but caring for him full time is exhausting and a huge emotional strain. Tommy is tube fed and requires round the clock care like a newborn baby, but with low immunity and many additional problems. Rachel has such strength and unconditional love for Tommy and I've never once heard her complain. But, Tommy is needing more and more specialist care and Rachel needs to get some sleep and rest and get to the gym so that she can continue to be such an awesome mummy to Tommy and Maisie and keep sane. Please help her raise funds to pay for the career who has just started working with them a few times a week, for a counsellor to help her and Maisie get through this unthinkable situation and to make memories with Tommy. Whatever is left will go towards much needed research into Zellweger, this extremely rare, incurable, genetic disease. Those who know Rachel in person will know she was reluctant to ask for any financial help, but accepts she can't meet all the expenses herself.
