WHO:
Lyndsey, Ryan, Anderson (7), Harris (6) and Penny (2) DiVita
This amazing family moved to Woodstock, GA in 2015 from Ohio. Anderson and Harris attend Bascomb Elmentary and Penny terrorizes the house while her brothers are at school
WHAT HAPPENED:
After returning home from visiting family in Ohio after Christmas break, Lyndsey was taken to the ER with what they soon found out was pneumonia and sepsis. She was transferred to ICU after they could not bring her blood pressure to a safe level and she finally seemed to stabilize. However, her pain and white blood count were still not improving so her doctors decided surgery was necessary because the antibiotics were not working and waiting any longer could potentially cause permanent lung damage.
She was transferred to Northside Atlanta, and they were successfully able to remove an abscess as well as excess fluid around her lungs which were causing her pain and decreasing her lung function without having to remove any lung tissue.
AND THEN...
Lyndsey’s improvement was GREAT news, but the day after the surgery Ryan was informed that his company had gone out of business which leaves this amazing family in a very tough position as Ryan’s job was the primary source of income, and Lyndsey has a some serious recovery ahead of her.

I am so grateful for this amazing community we live in and have already been approached by multiple people asking if there was a way to help or donate, so I thought this would be a good place to help them in this transitional period so Lyndsey can recover and Ryan can begin a job search.
