Conrad Michael Wayne Bournique was born on 10/30/2017 at IU Methodist Hospital. This sweet baby boy has endured an acute brain injury called Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). He is currently getting treatment at Riley to stop/reduce further brain injury. He is in a cooling system to keep his temp down to 92° to help heal and prevent further brain damage, and will be in it for 72 hours. He is not able to eat or be held during this time, which is so hard on the whole family. But they have enjoyed showering him with love as they have talked to him, read him books, sung to him, and stroked his sweet little hands. He is SO loved. They will slowly raise his temp back up later this week and get an MRI. That's when we will be able to see the extent of the damage.

In addition to all of the amazing prayers and support the Bournique family continues to receieve, they are going to be accumulating massive hostpital bills through this NICU stay and will be needing some financial support as well. Let's bless this amazing family with help as they navigate life in the NICU over the next few weeks! These funds will help them pay for the life-saving care that baby Conrad is receiving.
